Young Inspectors
Many youth organisations in Neath Port Talbot have signed up to achieve the National Participation Standards in Wales.  This means that they are committed to involving children and young people in the development and evaluation of services that affect their lives.  However if they want to achieve the National Participation Kite-mark they must undergo an inspection.  The inspection is carried out by a team of Young Inspectors.

So what do they do?
Young Inspectors visit services that work with children and young people to assess
and evaluate how well they are meeting the National Children and Young People’s
Participation Standards for Wales. They advise on improvements and report on their
findings. Young Inspectors encourage
existing services to think about what they do and make changes where needed.

If the Young Inspectors Team find that a service is meeting all of the participation standards they will award a National Participation Kite-mark.

All Young Inspectors are trained to undertake inspections.  Want to know more?  Download the Young Inspectors Pack using the button on the Youth Service home page.
