  • Years 7 and 8 exams 2015

    ​The year 7 & 8 exam period will run from Friday 24th April 2015 until Tuesday 5th May 2015. You can download a copy of the timetables here.

  • National Literacy and Numeracy tests 2015

    ​Year 7,8 and 9 will be sitting the National Literacy and Numeracy tests during the week commencing Monday 4th May 2015. Every child in years 7,8 and 9 will be sitting one literacy test and two numeracy tests. You can download the timetable here

  • SPAIN MAY 2015

    There will be an information evening in the great hall on Tuesday April 21st at 5 o'clock. Don't forget to bring in your hoodie money and order form asap.

  • The Wizard of Oz - A great success

    ​Many congratulations to all the pupils who were part of the team who put on The Wizard of Oz this week.  The show was fantastic and a testament to all the hard work everyone put in.  We are really looking forward to working with you again on the next one.

  • Show Racism The Red Card

    For his GCSE art exam Travis O'Brien produced a t-shirt design based on racism in football. His artwork has been selected for an award and he will collect his prize at an awards ceremony in Cardiff. The Sandfields Art Department are very proud of our pupils' standards and extremely pleased to be recognised by such an influential organisation.


  • Netball Champions

    ​Congratulations to the Year 7 netball squad on winning the Afan Nedd Tawe tournament on Monday. They were competing against 13 other schools from Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot and won very convincingly.

  • Show Racism the Red Card Wales

    ​Pupils in year 8 have been working extremley hard to produce our entry for this years creative arts competiton. The whole class entry in the category dedicated to Malala Yousafzai is on display in the Lower School. Malalafinal.png

  • UK Connecting Classrooms Award

    Sandfields School was exceptionally proud to accept the UK Connecting Classrooms Outstanding Participant Award 2015 for its work with its link school Rangpur in Bangladesh.

  • Safer Internet Day 2015

    Tuesday 10th February 2015 is Safer Internet Day.  Sandfields Comprehensive School is proud to have taken part in the production of this years video campaign to raise awareness of on line behaviour.  If you wish to find out more about this event, and what you can do to help the internet become a better place visit​

    ​The full payment of £360 for Spain 2015 is due by Tuesday February 3rd

  • Year 9 January Exams

    ​The year 9 exams will run from Monday 19th January 2015 - Thursday 22nd January 2015. These exams are an important tool for making decisions about option choices for Key Stage 4. The timetable for the exams can be downloaded here

  • Library News

    ​Lunch time and After school club will close for Christmas on Wednesday 17th December.

    The library will re-open as normal on Tuesday 6th January.


  • January GCSE exams 2015

    ​You can view the timetable for the January GCSE exams in English Language, English Literature and Catering here. You will be issued with a personal timetable before the Christmas holidays.

  • Congratulations Mollie May Jones

    ​Huge congratulations to Mollie May Jones in year 8. She competed in the 38th Welsh schools inter schools' Cross-Country championships on Saturday 15th November 2014 held in Brecon. She came 6th in a very strong field. Well done Mollie
