    Tuesday 10th February 2015 is Safer Internet Day.  Sandfields Comprehensive School is proud to have taken part in the production of this years video campaign to raise awareness of on line behaviour.  If you wish to find out more about this event, and what you can do to help the internet become a better place visit​

    ​The full payment of £360 for Spain 2015 is due by Tuesday February 3rd

  • Year 9 January Exams

    ​The year 9 exams will run from Monday 19th January 2015 - Thursday 22nd January 2015. These exams are an important tool for making decisions about option choices for Key Stage 4. The timetable for the exams can be downloaded here

  • Library News

    ​Lunch time and After school club will close for Christmas on Wednesday 17th December.

    The library will re-open as normal on Tuesday 6th January.


  • January GCSE exams 2015

    ​You can view the timetable for the January GCSE exams in English Language, English Literature and Catering here. You will be issued with a personal timetable before the Christmas holidays.

  • Congratulations Mollie May Jones

    ​Huge congratulations to Mollie May Jones in year 8. She competed in the 38th Welsh schools inter schools' Cross-Country championships on Saturday 15th November 2014 held in Brecon. She came 6th in a very strong field. Well done Mollie

  • Year 11 Examination and coursework fortnight

    ​You can download the timetable for the Year 11 exam and coursework fortnight which starts on Monday 8th December 2104 and finishes on Friday 19th December 2014 here. It is important that you attend all the sessions that are relevant to you as they will count towards your final grades in the summer.

    ​Parents/Guardians can now access the Sandfields PDG Plan Document for 2014.  Click here to open the document.

  • GCSE Summer Exams

    ​The exam period in the summer term for Years 10 and 11 will begin on Friday 8th May 2015 and will continue until Monday 22nd June 2015. Individual timetables will be available in February 2015. The timetable for all exams at Sandfields can be found here

  • Year 10 English controlled assessments

    ​The controlled assessments timetable for Year 10 can be found here. It is important that all pupils are in school on thes dates and in the run up to the assessments. These pieces of work count towards the English  GCSE grade

  • Sandfields Netball

    ​Sandfields netball season was kick started last weekend with the annual netball tour to Shrewsbury. There were 48 teams competing in four age groups. The standard was very high. This year we took two year 8 teams and a year 9 team. The girls played extremely well and did themselves and Sandfields proud. The Year 8A team secured 3rd place in the cup competition, the Year 8b team came 5th in the plate competition whilst the Year 9 team came 3rd in the plate competition. Congratulations to all players

  • WBQ Volunteers needed

    ​Year 10 volunteers are wanted to help out with the school Christmas Fayre on Wednesday 3rd December and Thursday 4th December.

  • Neath Port Talbot Credit Union

    ​The credit union will be running every Wednesday lunch time and after school for any budding young savers out there.
