  • Tonight - Sandfields Christmas Concert (SOLD OUT)

    The Sandfields Christmas Concert will be held in the Drama Hall at 6pm tonight.

    Please be aware that all tickets have sold out for this festive event.

  • Year 9 January Exams

    ​The year 9 exams will run from Monday 19th January 2015 - Thursday 22nd January 2015. These exams are an important tool for making decisions about option choices for Key Stage 4. The timetable for the exams can be downloaded here

  • Sandfields on Nation Hits

    In the lead up to Christmas Nation Hits will play out our Christmas recordings during the breakfast show, between 8.30 and 9am.

  • Sandfields Choir Wows Nation FM

    ​Congratulations to the choir who recorded a song for Nation FM yesterday. Their performance was excellent and will be played on the radio in the next couple of weeks. Look out for updates of when they'll be on.  Special mention must be given to Kiera Ellis who performed a solo song.  She so impressed the radio staff they are already talking about recommending her to a recording studio.  Well done everyone.

  • Library News

    ​Lunch time and After school club will close for Christmas on Wednesday 17th December.

    The library will re-open as normal on Tuesday 6th January.



    ​The annual Christmas Concert will be held on Thursday 18th December at 6pm in the Drama Hall.  Entrance is by ticket only and costs £5 (£4 for concessions/children).  Tickets are available from Mrs John, Ms Pennington or the school office, but are limited so please get your tickets soon.  Refreshhments will be available.

  • Samba Success!

    ​Well done to the Samba Band who represented the school in an event organised by MEAS in Neath Town Hall on Friday 14th November.  Their performance was exciting and exhilarating and enjoyed by all who attended.  A special mention must be made of the Brazilian Minister who attended the event, who commented how impressed he was with the musical performance.  Well done everyone!

  • January GCSE exams 2015

    ​You can view the timetable for the January GCSE exams in English Language, English Literature and Catering here. You will be issued with a personal timetable before the Christmas holidays.

  • Congratulations Mollie May Jones

    ​Huge congratulations to Mollie May Jones in year 8. She competed in the 38th Welsh schools inter schools' Cross-Country championships on Saturday 15th November 2014 held in Brecon. She came 6th in a very strong field. Well done Mollie

  • Year 11 Examination and coursework fortnight

    ​You can download the timetable for the Year 11 exam and coursework fortnight which starts on Monday 8th December 2104 and finishes on Friday 19th December 2014 here. It is important that you attend all the sessions that are relevant to you as they will count towards your final grades in the summer.

  • Rhythmix at The Grand

    ​Many congratulations to Maia Evans, Maya Christie, Rebecca Brimfield, Kirsty Doyle, Madison Hanney, Chloe Davies, Emily Poston, Bethany Curtis, Jordan Latham and Caitlyn Svenson-Tree who performed brilliantly at The Grand Theatre, Swansea yesterday evening.  They were the only pupils representing schools in Port Talbot, and the only singers in the entire concert. Well done Girls!

  • GCSE Summer Exams

    ​The exam period in the summer term for Years 10 and 11 will begin on Friday 8th May 2015 and will continue until Monday 22nd June 2015. Individual timetables will be available in February 2015. The timetable for all exams at Sandfields can be found here

  • London Trip 2015

    ​Next year's trip to London will take place on July 15th-16th.  This time we will be going to see The Lion King, Stomp and the Natural History Museum, (check them out on the internet) as well as doing some shopping and sightseeing. The cost for the trip is £160. If you are in years 7, 8 9 or 11 and fancy coming along, see Ms Pennington for a letter.
