  • Year 9 exams

    ​Year 9 exams start on Monday 18th January 2016. It is important the all pupils ensure that they are in school for this period. They will need to make sure that they have all the correct equipment as indicated on their exam timetable which can be downloaded here

  • The Welsh Sinfonia Orchestra Return!

    ​Sandfields School is pleased to announce the return of the Welsh Sinfonia Orchestra, who will be working with our pupils for the third time.  The pupils in the choir and the orchestra, and the professional musicians will be performing a concert on Friday March 4th at 6.30pm in the Great Hall.  Please try to come along as in the past this has been the musical highlight of the year.

    Tickets will be available on the door and cost £4.

  • Christmas Concert

    ​Massive congratualtions to all our performers in last night's concert.  The performances were brilliant and we are all very proud of you.  Now, have a great break over Christmas so we can start all over again in 2016!


    ​On Thursday December 3rd there will be a Christmas fayre in the gym ​and the drama hall from 2.20-5pm. There will be stalls selling cakes, jewellery, scarves, cushions and lots more so come along! Have your photo taken in the snow globe, get your face painted and have a go on the bouncy castle!     Please collect the latest letter regarding the next payment for Spain from Miss Carver or Mr Larkman if you haven't already done so. ​

  • Work Experience

    Congratulations to all Year 11 pupils who completed a week of work experience in July.  The week was very successful and rewarding.

    A huge thank you to all of the local employers who offered our pupils placements.

  • Show Racism The Red Card

    For his GCSE art exam Travis O'Brien produced a t-shirt design based on racism in football. His artwork has been selected for an award and he will collect his prize at an awards ceremony in Cardiff. The Sandfields Art Department are very proud of our pupils' standards and extremely pleased to be recognised by such an influential organisation.


  • Netball Champions

    ​Congratulations to the Year 7 netball squad on winning the Afan Nedd Tawe tournament on Monday. They were competing against 13 other schools from Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot and won very convincingly.

    ​Pupils in year 8 have been working extremley hard to produce our entry for this years creative arts competiton. The whole class entry in the category dedicated to Malala Yousafzai is on display in the Lower School. Malalafinal.png
