  • Year 11 GCSE Exams

    ​All Year 11 must attend the exams that they are entered for. Please make sure you are clear about your exam commitments over the next month. Therevision timetable here is also published and it is advisable that you attend all possible sessions if you are to maximise your potential. Make sure that you bring the correct equipment to each exam. You will need at least two black pens, pencil, ruler, rubber, sharpener, calculator(except for the Maths-Non Calculator exam) You must be in FULL SCHOOL UNIFORM when you attend the exams

  • Eurodisney Trip March 2017

    ​The trip was opened to pupils of Sandfields, Glanafan and Cwrt Sart.  Today, 20 spaces were available to pupils at Sandfields for the trip to Eurodisney in March 2017.  Unfortunately due to the high level of interest there are no spaces left. We will no longer be taking consent forms and deposits. We apologise for any upset this may cause.

  • Spain 2016

    Please collect the latest letter regarding the next payment for Spain from Miss Carver or Mr Larkman if you haven't already done so. ​

  • Show Racism The Red Card

    For his GCSE art exam Travis O'Brien produced a t-shirt design based on racism in football. His artwork has been selected for an award and he will collect his prize at an awards ceremony in Cardiff. The Sandfields Art Department are very proud of our pupils' standards and extremely pleased to be recognised by such an influential organisation.


  • Netball Champions

    ​Congratulations to the Year 7 netball squad on winning the Afan Nedd Tawe tournament on Monday. They were competing against 13 other schools from Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot and won very convincingly.

  • Show Racism the Red Card Wales

    ​Pupils in year 8 have been working extremley hard to produce our entry for this years creative arts competiton. The whole class entry in the category dedicated to Malala Yousafzai is on display in the Lower School. Malalafinal.png

  • UK Connecting Classrooms Award

    Sandfields School was exceptionally proud to accept the UK Connecting Classrooms Outstanding Participant Award 2015 for its work with its link school Rangpur in Bangladesh.

  • Work Experience 13th - 17th July

    Work Experience week starts Monday 13th July until Friday 17th July for Year 10 pupils.  You will need to contact your placement prior to starting to confirm.  Pupils will need an Health and Safety guide and a Work Experience diary for the week.  See Mrs Folland if you require either booklet.

  • Library News

    ​Lunch time and After school club will close for Christmas on Wednesday 17th December.

    The library will re-open as normal on Tuesday 6th January.


  • Congratulations Mollie May Jones

    ​Huge congratulations to Mollie May Jones in year 8. She competed in the 38th Welsh schools inter schools' Cross-Country championships on Saturday 15th November 2014 held in Brecon. She came 6th in a very strong field. Well done Mollie

  • Sandfields Netball

    ​Sandfields netball season was kick started last weekend with the annual netball tour to Shrewsbury. There were 48 teams competing in four age groups. The standard was very high. This year we took two year 8 teams and a year 9 team. The girls played extremely well and did themselves and Sandfields proud. The Year 8A team secured 3rd place in the cup competition, the Year 8b team came 5th in the plate competition whilst the Year 9 team came 3rd in the plate competition. Congratulations to all players
